Created by Far + Wide Collective in collaboration with award-winning jewelry designer Jenny Bird, The Pin Project was a global initiative launched in 2017 to create employment and income for displaced persons, returnees, and refugees in developing countries.

With the help of the creative team at besu spearheading the brand strategy, packaging design, and asset management, the Kickstarter campaign managed to raise over $106,000 in just 30 days, reaching its initial goal of $38,000 in under 48 hours.

With the team’s endless promotion on social media, The Pin Project gained the attention of household names such as Rachel Roy, fashion designer and UN Women Ambassador for Innovation to Advance Women and Girls in Technology and Entrepreneurship, local and global press outlets such as The Globe and Mail, Huffington Post, Flare, Stylist Magazine and many more.

The Pin Project was later nominated for the Fashion Impact Award at the Canadian Arts and Fashion (CAFA) Awards in Toronto.
